Yesterday I was flipping through the channels when I caught the voice and face of the lovely Judy Garland. I love classic movies. I don't watch them as much as I'd like to. But when I have a free moment, I tune the world out and drift far away into MGM land.Who can deny the music, the drama, the dancing, and the Hollywood of it all??
Well, I was watching and this guy comes on screen. He's very attractive. But wait a minute! I've seen this guy before. (Later I realized that the whole world knows who he is) The guy was Mr. Gene Kelly. You know! The singing in the rain guy! But to me, he will always be the guy in "Jack and the Beanstalk". I owned that movie when I was little. And it was one of my favorites. It was one of those cartoon movies. The beanstalk, the giant, the house- everything was a cartoon. The only thing human was Gene Kelly, the little boy, and the mom. But anywho.... I got to watching this movie...

lls the Hollywood hopefuls that they have to get up at 5am to help out on the farm. Of course they don't want to. So, Gene Kelly breaks into a singing/dance number.I was BLOWN away by his performance. I've never seen ANYTHING like it. No lie. I sat on my bed with my mouth WIDE OPEN. And at the end I said, "Wow." He was tap dancing, jumping, flipping, leaping, and sashaying all over the place. It looked like he was dancing on air. And let's not forget that he is GORGEOUS!!!!!! Wow.
They just don't make movies like they used to. Is there anyone out there who could even do what this man did??? I get dizzy just thinking about it. Rent some classic movies this weekend. I guarantee you'll love it.

Hi, GK has that effect on lots of people!. Like a bolt of lightning hitting. And no, there is no one out there remotely like him. Dancer, actor, singer, choreographer, director, writer, producer. quite a guy. Take a look at my GK website if you want to see the extent of this man's talents. If only more people would watch the classic movies rather than all the dark, perverted stuff which is called entertainment these days, I am sure the world would be a better place and individuals would be happier. I enjoyed reading your post.
